Cliff Tabin Ph.D.
Cliff Tabin received his PhD from MIT, and is now the George Jacob and Jacqueline Hazel Leder Professor at Harvard Medical School, where he serves as Chair of the Department of Genetics. Cliff is a member of the US National Academy of Sciences, and of the Royal Society of London, and has received many prestigious awards and prizes for his work including the Conklin Medal, the March of Dimes Prize, and the Molecular Biology Prize from the National Academy of Sciences . Cliff has conducted groundbreaking research on the molecular mechanisms that govern embryonic development, and is renowned for his studies on intercellular signaling, embryonic patterning, limb development, gut morphogenesis and left-right asymmetry. Over the course of his career, Cliff has made major contributions to the fields of developmental biology, evolutionary biology and genetics, establishing himself as an internationally recognized leader in these fields.
